Thriving Family has been serving parents with children in the home since 2009. These marriage and parenting articles stem from a biblical worldview. We publish a print magazine every other month, along with its digital counterpart on the iPad, as well as special issues that are relevant for today’s family.
HOW THRIVING FAMILY SUBSCRIPTIONS WORK
You can read each bimonthly issue of Thriving Family, along with select special issues and sneak previews, for free. Individual and special issues can be purchased at the posted nominal price, which ranges from $1.99 to $9.99, depending on the special issue. Receive our annual Premium Thriving Family subscription (six digital issues, two ages and stages digital issues, product sneak peeks and select specials) in the in-app store for only $14.99! (Prices vary in other currencies.)
Payments will be charged to your iTunes Account at the confirmation of purchase. No refunds are offered for the cancellation of a current subscription during an active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication.
AUTOMATIC RENEWAL
The Premium Thriving Family subscription will automatically renew annually, unless you turn off the auto-renew function at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. That means that your credit card will be charged a renewal fee, the same price as the current subscription price, within the 24-hour period prior to the end of the current subscription period. To manage your subscription or to turn off the auto-renew function, go to your iTunes Account and finding the Account Settings area after your subscription is purchased.

The content is excellent and if the app had just a few minor features then I would give it 5 stars. What features? Well, there is no way to make the article text larger. So I cant read the content for very long without getting my glasses. My eyes are not that great so having a zoom feature or an ability to adjust the font size (like my kindle e-reader has) would be nice. Also, for those who "lock" the orientation on their i-pad please be aware that you will have to turn that feature off in order for this app to work. They force you to view the magazine in portrait (which is fine), however, if the orientation lock is on (in landscape mode) then it will not display any content. You might think that the app is broken because it only shows a picture to turn your i-pad in portrait mode. However, once you remember that the orientation lock is on and once you turn it off, it will work as expected. Otherwise, this is definitely an app to get for families who are interested in parenting articles. The advice is obviously biblically based but even for those who are not followers of Christ, there will be ideas which will be helpful.
I used to use this app but the magazines were too big. Each one was more than 500 MG so I had to delete the app to free some space. Now I cannot even download any magazine. It such a shame.
I prefer the old app, this one takes far too long to download. The old app was quick and loaded in minutes. The new one has taken me 2 hours already with no luck. Pity as I love the magazine but no longer worth the effort
I loved the original Thriving Family app and this is even better.
This app is beautiful. I love this magazine in paper form, and I love it just as much digitally. The app is easy to navigate, and is set up wonderfully.
